Eternal Love Reviews

Nottingham Gig Guide

Move over Mackintosh and Webber there’s a new kid on the block! I had the pleasure of seeing Steve Steinman’s new musical Eternal Love at the Hull New Theatre on Friday 24th January. I’m no stranger to Steinman’s productions but this is by far his biggest project to date. Introducing an all-original soundtrack and book written by Steinman. A real rock musical with real rock singers was a breath of fresh air, with so many juke box musicals making their way around the theatre circuit…

Fairy Powered Productions

Last night at Hull New Theatre I had the absolute pleasure of seeing the world premiere of Steve Steinman’s Vampires Rock, Eternal Love the Musical, and what a treat it was! I’ve not seen any of the other shows that they have done and didn’t quite know what to expect but what I watched was brilliant. Steve is an excellent songwriter, these were all original songs from two of his albums, and as a fan of rock music I really enjoyed listening to them. The songs helped the story move along and they fitted the storyline really well…

This critic is old enough to remember Steve Steinman’s iconic portrayal of the late, great Meatloaf on ITV’s Stars in their Eyes way back in 1993. This catapulted him in to instant stardom as he moved on tobigger and better things. Steinman has created quite a following. The queue from the merch stand this evening was testament to his popularity and his shows are clearly still engaging a large cult fan base in what was a packed out auditorium. Vampires Rock: Eternal Love the Musical is an ambitious mix of rock and musical theatre…

On the Saturday 22nd March, 2025, my boyfriend Aaron treated me to an early birthday present, a ticket to Steve Steinman’s ‘Vampires Rock: Eternal Love’, at Cast Theatre, Doncaster. There was me, Aaron and our friend Lou. It was absolutely amazing! Steve Steinman is an extremely successful writer, director and producer, a number one recording artist. In ‘Eternal Love’, 20 original songs are taken from Steinman’s epic ‘Heaven’s Gate’ and ‘Take a Leap of Faith’ number one albums. It is the third in his ‘Vampires Rock’ trilogy…

If you fancy something completely different with a brand-new freshness, part musical theatre, part rock concert and vampires with an appetite for romance, then this is for you. This is the continuation of Steve Steinman’s Vampires Rock – Eternal Love The Musical. It certainly won’t matter if you’d seen any of the previous shows from Steve Steinman, I’d been lucky enough to have caught previous productions and I wasn’t disappointed with this brand-new show. With a basic story of Baron Von Rockula, Steve Steinman…

Steve Steinman knows how to rock. He’s had stars in his eyes for more than thirty years after performing as Meat Loaf on the popular talent show. Steve went on to create, produce and perform in many rock musicals, including Anything For Love – The Meat Loaf Story. And now he’s back! Vampires Rock – Eternal Love overflows with glorious gothic grandeur. Steinman’s rockscape abounds with punchy ballads and pounding riffs. The tongue-in-cheek essence of the show is uniquely…

In Newcastle

It is difficult to know where to start with the experience that was Eternal Love at Darlington Hippodrome last evening. There is a quote on the front of the beautifully glossy official brochure which announces the show to be ‘Fantastic, sexy and very funny’ but I feel that it misses out the more glaringly obvious ‘wacky, zany and utterly bonkers.’ Steve Steinman is of course the man in charge of the production as he is credited as no less than writer, director, producer and set designer and his vision is quite something. The set is comprised of two levels…

 Anything For Love Reviews

Whitley Bay Playhouse

A Fiery Hit!
Last night I headed to the Whitley Bay Playhouse to see Steve Steinman’s Anything For Love. I’d seen the show before at the Birmingham Alexandra, back when Trixie Bell was in the cast, but this time brought some fresh faces and a few fiery surprises. The evening began with a video projection that set the mood nicely — a teasing prelude before the real action began. When Steve made his entrance, the roar of applause that met him could have shaken the rafters…

Gig Review

It’s a beautiful crisp afternoon as we leave stroke city to make our way to the big smoke aka Belfast, for tonight’s entertainment. Being big fans of theatrical shows my Mum and myself are very excited to see Steve Steinman’s ‘Like A Bat Out Of hell: Anything for Love – The Meatloaf Story’. As we dander around the Odyssey waiting for the doors to open at 7pm, Meatloaf’s hits are being played throughout the complex and everyone is singing along as they enjoy a bite at the local restaurants and eateries before the show…

Grand Theatre

Steve Steinman’s shows have always provided that but this tour has got even more oomph with the addition of Lorraine Crosby to the line-up. She sang with Meat Loaf on I Would Do Anything For Love from Bat Out of Hell II and was managed by Jim Steinman early in her career. Her vocals on hits including It’s All Coming Back To Me Now and Dead Ringer For Love alongside Steve Steinman made this one of the best ways to enjoy this music live as Meat Loaf himself no longer tours. The music lends itself to the theatrical stage…

Opera House

Steve Steinman appeared on Stars in Their Eyes over 25 years ago as musical genius Meat Loaf, and since then has made a pretty impressive career out of being a real “Dead Ringer” for the star. Tonight’s Show “The Meat Loaf Story”, features a live band (an incredible band that Meat Loaf himself would be envious of), 3 beautiful backing singers/dancers, and Steve himself. Covering the obvious classics such as Bat out of Hell, Two out of Three Ain’t Bad and Paradise by the Dashboard Light…
